Transcript

Shall write you a real letter in a few days when I am rested from my last work. As you know I am now back in the American Army where one must go to bed at 9 o’clock. Did you get my letters while I was with the French Army. there are so many things I could tell you that it seems I could write forever. The French letters are dated March 14 - 20 - and April 7 - 8 - 9. gee! I feel so clean tonight that my pile of straw will seem like a bed at home! Sincerely [Private] George Maguolo 447th Engineers [General Headquarters] A. E.F. [censor signature]
