Transcript

St. Louis, [August] 11, 1916 Mrs. E. E. Leonard, 3551A Olive St., St. Louis [Missouri] Dear Mr. Owing to the great cost of maintaining our laboratories in accordance with the demands of the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the various Boards of Health for an “A” school, the Board of Administrators of the National University of Arts & Sciences have concluded to suspend all laboratory classes for session 1916-17. The courses for the junior and senior students will be continued as usual. We expect to do better work for these two classes than ever before, and hope that every student will feel under obligation to return to us and finish his medical education. We will appreciate any effort you may make to secure other students for us who will be eligible for these two classes. Hoping we may have a letter from you indicating your intentions, we are, Yours truly, NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARTS & SCIENCES Board of Administrators
