Description Dr. Esther E. Leonard sent this letter to inform the Adjutant General that she had left St. Louis, Missouri and arrived at her post in New York City. Dr. Leonard served as a contract surgeon during World War I at the U.S. Army General Hospital No. 1 in New York City and at an evacuation hospital in Vichy, France.
