July 25, 1917 Hon. James H. McCord, Adjutant General, Jefferson City, [Missouri] Dear General:- I beg to acknowledge receipt of your communication of the 24th advising that after further consideration of the matter you have granted an honorable discharge from the State militia to my son James Edward Henschel. I thank you for your courteous and favorable consideration of this matter, and wish to assure you that I appreciate your action with reference thereto. Yours very truly, LHH.B
