I challenge anyone to show a longer address than Pvt. Ned. (All this last week, but repetition is advisable). Some mail came last night - with it one letter from home which will be answered tomorrow or so. Tell those rapidly growing sisters and brother and cousin of mine that if they do not write me I'll not like them anymore. They've treated me absolutely shamefully after all of the nice letters I have sent them. Have acquired something that no soldiers or officers coming over later than I can duplicate - a little gold chevron on my left sleeve for six months service in the war zone. In July - and six months (may they be few!)

thereafter I shall acquire another. Of course - there are not a few hundred who can wear them now - but none the less - I feel all "stuck up" over it. Must close - am being rushed. All the love in the world. Ned.
