[Redeemer Lutheran Church letterhead] June 13, 1919 Dear Theodore :- Received your note and communication for Dr. Dwemling. I got him by phone to make sure that I was correct in supposing that he would be at the annual C.C. Alumni meeting this evening. I told him I would give him your letter at the College dining hall this evening. We certainly ought to knock the daylights out of any movement to introduce religious instruction into the public schools. That is certainly the limit. I read of your having to read the paper at Mobile. Mighty interesting subject. My paper is done long ago. Of course I am still making alterations, additions, [ms illegible: 1 wd], etc, but I could read it in its present shape. Your article Two Types of Lutheranism is surely delightful reading, especially the conclusion. Description Letter from Reverend John R. Graebner , of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Theodore Graebner. Theodore was a Lutheran Pastor and Professor of Philosophy and New Testament Interpretation at the Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a gifted writer and influential theologian. Throughout his life he wrote various German and English publications including the Lutheran Witness. Graebner helped shape the teachings and culture of the Missouri Synod.
