Transcript

[Lutheran Church Board for Army and Navy letterhead] Prof. Graebner, St. Louis, [Missouri] Dear Brother:- The Lutheran Church Board for Army and Navy is about to print a number of short sermons. We intend to distribute these free of charge to our boys under the Flag. I have been requested to present this matter to you. Would you kindly revise said sermons before we give them to the printer. We will have them in good shape, typewritten, double-space, written on one side, so that you will have no trouble in reading them. We fully realize that you have now all the work you can take care of, but at the same time we could not refrain from placing this request before you. Hoping to hear from you in the very near future, we are very cordially yours, F.C. Streufert Secr. Lutheran Church Board for Army and Navy- USA. PCS/EK
