Dear Friend in Christ: Going over our list we find that you have moved and that you have not been released to join any other Lutheran Church as yet. Still, we are convinced that you are interested in your old church. You will be especially glad to hear that we are doing work for our Soldiers and Sailors thru the Lutheran Church Board for Army and Navy U. S. A. This Board is sending a Testament and prayer-book, a monthly paper, Lutheran Soldiers

Description Letter from the Every Member Committee to a member of the Lutheran Church. The letter explained that the Lutheran Church Board for the Army and Navy was raising money to help soldiers and sailors continue to cultivate their faith. To accomplish this the Board was sending camp pastors to military training camps, sending prayer books to soldiers as well as monthly bulletins. The letter asked the member to participate by donating a dollar to the Board.
