3442-N9 WITH THE RAINBOW DIVISION IN THE ARMY OF OCCUPATION THIRTY-THREE MEN OF THE AMERICAN 42nd ("Rainbow") Division being decorated Distinguished Service Crosses by Major General C.A. Flagler. The awards are for heroism under fire. Major General Flagler is the present commander of the division. (Ceremony at Sinzing, Germany, December 22, 1918)
