AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCES France, 13 November 1918. From: Chief Surgeon, A.E.F., S. O. S. To: 1st Lt. Levi H. Fuson, MC, Base Hospital No. 21, AEF Subject: Commission. 1. I am directed by the Chief Surgeon to inform you that you have been commissioned Captain, Medical Corps, Special Order, AGO, War Department, dated 9 October 1918. 2. You are requested to submit your letter of acceptance and oath of office to this office without delay. By direction: [signature] F.A. WINTER, Brig Gen M C U.S. Army 2. Description | Brigadier General Winter wrote this memorandum to Dr. Levi Fuson informing him that he had been commissioned to Captain. Dr. Fuson was a Captain in U.S. Army Medical Corps. He served with Base Hospital 21, in Rouen, France. The hospital, which was founded and staffed by Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, was one of six that was selected for mobilization by the U.S. Government to support the British troops. |
