Forderhase, Rudolph Collection
Howard County native Rudolph Forderhase served in the 89th Division during World War I. This collection donated by his grandson John Forderhase, includes photographs of Rudolph as well as his memoir. The memoir spanning from September 21, 1918 through June 10, 1919 describes in vivid detail Forderhase’s experience being drafted, basic training, service in the 89th Division, and occupation in Europe after the armistice.
