Letter to Mr. H.K. Curtis - September 26, 1918

Transcript

September 26, 1918 My dear Mr. Curtis: I am advised that you were at the office of the Local Board in an intoxicated condition. This office does not presume in any way to pass judgment on the personal habits of anybody, but it is so jealously interested in the pubic attitude toward the selective draft administration that it will not permit members to continue on draft boards who would do anything that in any way would tend to impair pubic confidence. The best interests of the service suggests that you file with this office your resignation not later then one week from today. Very sincerely yours, Mr. H. K. Curtis, 510-511 Colby & Abbot Building, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
