I were awe stricken in the vision andwondered with great admiration as to what this should mean And as I stood there a voice spoke to me from above and gave me the interpertation thereof. However I shall withold the interpertation until I hear from you. 3rd. I learn that German Propagandist are working in Mexico, plotting against our Government, I would like to be Commissioned to go throught Mexico, spy out and see if these thing be true or not. And report my findings to this Department. I shall anxiously await your reply Your most Patroticly. Pastor Foard. DictPF/f P.S. This document is part of a collection compiled by Enoch Herbert Crowder, the Edinburg, Grundy County, Missouri native who served as Judge Advocate General. Crowder devised the Selective Service Act in 1917 which drafted America's forces during World War I. |
