Transcript
July 22nd, 1918. Provost Marshal General Crowder, War Department, Washington, D.C. My dear General: I enclose herewith a clipping from the Saint Paul Pioneer Press of Sunday July 21st, which is your letter to the conferees. This article was written by my friend Harry T. Black, editorial writer of the paper. I have had copies of this paper sent to every Board in the state of Minnesota. I hope the article pleases you. I dont think enough publicity has been given to this letter of yours. I have seen one senator and one congressman of our state the past week, and while both knew of the letter, they did not know what a splendid letter it was. Your very truly, JAG: HR Jesse A Gregg.
