Coffey, Vernon C. Collection
Corporal Vernon C. Coffey served as Regimental Color Sergeant with the 806th Pioneer Infantry. This collection consists of two photographs of Coffey. One photograph shows Coffey in a tunic and overseas cap taken in France after the armistice. The second picture shows Coffey and Virgil Henry McNeal, an African American private who also served with the 806th Pioneer Infantry.
