The administrative Labor Companies (A.L.Co.) are a part of the L.B. (Labor Bureau) which was attached to the G.P.A. office (General Purchasing Agents Office), However the A.S.C. (Army Service Corps) has been organizing and the L.B. transferred bodily to it. I have written the abbreviation because we talk in hyrogliphics of that kind over here all the time. I am at present at Nantes living at the Hotel de France and cant realize its me. Nantes is about 300,000 & there is a great deal of life. The streets are always crowded. And they have street lights at night that

Description | Powhatan H. Clarke wrote this letter to his mother answering the many letters she had sent concerning life back home. He also described life in Nantes, France where he was stationed. Clarke served with the 21st Aero Squadron and Labor Bureau A.E.F. during Word War I. |
