Instructions to Officers. This record book to be supplied to all officers below the grade of major, properly filled in and authenticated as indicated. It will be kept in personal possession of officer to whom issued, and shown to the commanding officer of any organization or station to which he may be assigned, on reporting for duty and, when practicable, upon being relieved from any duty. (G.O. 39, G.H. Q. A.E.F., 1918.)
