Through Commanding Officer Ordnance Detachment, Advance Ordnance Depot 4. Leave of Absence. 1. I was due leave May 4, 1918 and have tried three times to obtain leave since that time but without success. Lt. Rich of your office said that when this company was organized and was running smoothly I could get my leave. 2. The company is now properly organized. Request leave of absence for seven days. Description | Powhatan Hughes Clarke served with the 21st Aero Squadron and the Labor Bureau A.E.F. during World War I. He died from tuberculosis August 20, 1920. In this memorandum, Clarke wrote the G. P. A Labor Bureau and requested a leave of absence. M. H. Daly, Capt. Ord. Dept. N.A. replied that Clarke could take a leave of absence if another officer could take over his duties. |
