S.O.S., A.E.F., dated July 11th, 1918, 1st Lt. Clarke, Administrative Labor Company 133, A.S.C., will proceed at once to Nantes, by train, returning to St. Nazaire on completion of his duties. Description Powhatan Hughes Clarke served with the 21st Aero Squadron and the Labor Bureau A.E.F. during World War I. He died from tuberculosis August 20, 1920. These special orders required Clarke to report to Nantes, France and return to St. Nazaire at the completion of his duties.
