[Dr. John F. Connors letterhead] October 20, 1923. Saturday Mrs. Powhatan H. Clarke, Powhatan Hotel, Washington , D.C. My dear Mrs. Clarke: I hasten to reply to your letter of October 18th to Dr. Connors and to assure you that this is the same Dr. Connors who was chief of the surgical service in Savenay, France at the time you mentioned. Dr. Connors is out of town for a few days but will return to the office on October 22nd at which time I will bring your letter to his attention. Your letter was delayed a little owing to a recent change of address, from 616 Madison Avenue to 59 East 54th Street. You may expect to hear from Dr. within a day or two after his return. Very truly yours, [signature] Secretary.
