C O P Y HEADQUARTERS THIRD AVIATION INSTRUCTION CENTER April 29, 1918. SPECIAL ORDERS. ) ) NO. 116.) 2. In compliane with letter, H.A.E.F., November 7, 1917, 1st Lieut. Powhatan H. Clarke, A.S.S.C.U.S.R., and 1st Lieut. Townsend J. Taylor, A.S.S.C., U.S.R., will proceed, from the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center, to the 2nd Aviation Instruction Center, reporting upon arrival to the Commanding Officer for instruction. The travel directed is necessary in the military service. By order of lt.Col. Kilner: H.S. Tittel, 1st Lt., A.S.S.C.U.S.R., Adjt.

| Description | Powhatan Hughes Clarke served with the 21st Aero Squadron and the Labor Bureau A.E.F. during World War I. He died from tuberculosis August 20, 1920. These special orders required Powhatan H. Clarke to leave the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center and report to the 2nd Aviation Instruction Center. |
