HEADQUARTERS AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCES. OFFICE OF THE GENERAL PURCHASING AGENT. LABOR BUREAU. July 5, 1918. ORDERS NO. 724 L.D. Pursuant to authority from Commander-in-Chief, American Expeditionary Forces, contained in indorsement dated [September] 11, 1917, 1st Lt. Powhatan H. Clarke A.S.S.R.C., will proceed from Bolouze, France, to Jonchery, France, reporting upon arrival to the C.O. for duty with Administrative Labor Company. Description | Powhatan Hughes Clarke served with the 21st Aero Squadron and the Labor Bureau A.E.F. during World War I. He died from tuberculosis August 20, 1920. This special order required Powhatan H. Clarke to report for duty at Jonchery, France to supervise 250 French Civilian Laborers as a member of the Administrative Labor Company. |
