Bennett Champ Clark served as a colonel in the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I. After the war, he established a law practice in St. Louis and was a United States Senator from 1932-1945. His father, Champ Clark, served in the House of Representatives for 26 years and remains the only Speaker of the House from Missouri. This collection includes Bennett Clark’s wartime correspondence with his parents.
