Description Field Service created postcard to aid in the censorship process. The soldier crossed out the text that does not apply to them. Their purpose was to reassure their loved ones that they were alive and well and to confirm that letters and parcels from home were getting through to the Front. Clyde Chilson died with honor on October 16, 1918 during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He served with Battery B, 129th Field Artillery, 35th Division.
