Description Letter from W.R. Castle of the American Red Cross providing Lottie Hewitt with more information about the death of her brother Clyde Chilson. Chilson died on October 16, 1918 at base hospital 14 of pneumonia after being gassed during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He served with Battery B, 129th Field Artillery, 35th Division. Pinkston informs Lottie Hewitt that she is entitled to the Victory Medal as the nearest relative to Chilson.
