Description Letter from the C.O. of Company B, 129th Field Artillery to the Commander in Chief, A.E.F. recommending Clyde C. Chilson for the Distinguished Service Cross for acts of heroism at Charpentry, France. Clyde Chilson died on October 16, 1918 during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He served with Battery B, 129th Field Artillery, 35th Division. Pinkston informs Lottie Hewitt that she is entitled to the Victory Medal as the nearest relative to Chilson.
