[page 2] We are at present constructing eight (8) 600 H. P. engines and eight (8) 300 H. P. engines for submarines, and we anticipate receiving contract within the next few days for twelve (12) 500 H. P. engines from the Lake Torpedo Boat Company. Our Company is progressing as well as could be expected for a new concern, and I am pleased to be able to state at the present time we are running without loss, but I do not anticipate any dividends being paid on the common stock for some years to come. With kindest regards to you and your family, and with the sincere hope that the terrible war will soon be over, I beg to remain yours very truly, [James R. Harris]-C 1st V. P. & Gen. Mgr.
