Description | Letter from James R. Harris, the Vice President and General Manager of the Busch-Sulzer Diesel Engine Company, to Claude L. Matthews, General Chairman of the Military Training Camps Association. Harris asked for the exemption of his skilled workmen in his factory, including his Polish employees, from the United States draft. He believed the workmen best served the Allies by assisting of the construction of Marine engines. |
