[November] 14 1918. "Somewhere in France" Dear Folks:- Well we are still back during some training - getting a little rest - it is getting pretty cold here but we have good warm clothes so get along OK - have not had any snow yet but each morn there is a heavy frost - not so much sickness as a person might think - I am feeling fine - got a few "cooties" but they just keep a fellow company - wouldn't know what to do without them - hope all of you are well 0 am expecting to get some mail today - my company is in a different place from "G" - I know there must be some mail over today I am going over after it tomorrow - how did Morton come out? see from paper that everything seems to be going

Republican - noticed where they thought Folk was beaten - also Champ Clark had a narrow escape - what seems to be the matter? - hows Uncle Bob - tell him hello - also Uncle Bill & Aunt Mag - tell Uncle Bill to save plenty of "old ham" - because I will sure eat some - dont know any news at all - I can only write and tell you I am well - my letters may seem very uninteresting but I cant help it- will do better the next time - hope to get some mail soon - will close - goodbye - hello to all my friends - Lots of love to all, Your loving son, Kirk OK RKBrady Capt 140th Inf.
