[Saturday] nite. Dear Folks: - Received your letter tonite. glad that you stood the trip O.K. and hope it don't give you a cold - it has been very cold but has warmed up some - [Sunday] morn- 8 30 Just got up and it is such a fine morn. sun shining and not cold - but by nite it may be very much different. will be in school for about 2 more weeks - don't know may be just this week- Cecil will be home this week - he is due out 1st of the week. I think I will get away in about 3 weeks if nothing happens. Ray Pifer is getting along O.K. - is up and around - looks a little bad yet - all the other boys are getting

along as well as they can. no serious sickness with any of them - don't know much news - nothing new just the same old run- work al lthe time. like my school fine - Lt. Wilhelm has been transferred to K. Co - we have a Lt. Scott with us - seems to be a fine fellow - am glad of the change - think we all will get along beter - be careful with your cold - they are bad things to have this time of year - don't know any news so will close - hope all are well - hope to see you soon - Love t oall, Your loving son, Kirk.
