[Tuesday] nite. Dear Folks: - Haven't much time but will write a little - Cecil got in this afternoon -sure was glad to see him - seemed like ages since he left. also I think he was glad to get back. he gave me the kit. thanks very much - it sure is a fine one. wasn't expecting it so soon. Received a helmet from Miss Florence - sure nice of hr to send it - wish you would thank her for me - dont expect I will find time to write her for a few days - we had a hike this morn and drilled this afternoon - Capt is going to school and it has left me by myself - had my hands full - worked

nite and day - studied at nite for next days work - will be glad when I get away for a few days - when I dont know - thought it would be this week but nothing doing - will get off some time I guess - am feeling fine, having fine weather here- hope ou are, tell Allan to have the car in good running shape as I want to catch up with some motoring. will write again as soon as I can, Goodnite, Lots of love, Your loving son, Kirk.
