Somewhere in France May 11 1918 Dear Folks:- You see I am "somewhere" - I have done some traveling - still going farther some day - have had a fine trip, hope it continues as fine as long as I am in this country. I sure am feeling fine - hope you are the same. this is some fine country. people are very polite and kind to us. as you know I can not write very much news- all the boys are fine -

they are all enjoying the trip. see lots of soldiers of every land - suppose by now you ha ve learned of my safe arrival. our trip across was fine and no danger what-ever. Subs were not out that is we didn't see them. I am now at a Y.M.C.A. writing this letter - some grand organization. do not hear much war news here - the closer you get the lest you hear. soon will be the end of

school. Ruth graduates does not seem long since I did. can hardly realize it. I hardly know what to say as I am not as yet up to just what news you can tell. I am feeling fine - will write as often as I can but most of the time I will be kept some busy - tell all my friends hello - give them my best - have not see nCecil yet - dont know
