Boncourt, France [February] 28th 1919. Dear Folks:- Another month gone, spring is nearly here - we have not as yet moved but will i na few days - about middle of March - go to the Le Mans area from there to the port of debarkation - the sailing lists are out and we are listed t osail i nApril - that is the orders notw - it remains to see whether it is true or not - orders change every day, anyway we are going to be on the road home - received your letter of [February] 10th which I was glad to get - als ohad one from Pookie Davis - sure enjoyed it - am glad to hear Uncle Bob is getting better - hope he is OK by now - well, mother dont get too anxious - I will be home soon so just be patient - yes the street needs paving - just save the lot I will put a house on it and

What do you think of that? am glad Anne is getting along OK - tell her hello for me - don't think Wade Sanders wanted to get across - if he had he would have stayed with the company I think - no I have never heard of anything about Chas. McDonald - didn't know he was over here - was awfully sorry to hear of Miss Lucy Mansur's death - always liked her so much - was she still in the Recorder's Office - was surprised to hear of Doc Hamilton's marriage - not many sinble ones left in the old town - Dr. Baber is in a class to himself - tell him not to wrry I will keep him company - weather here still remains rainy - I went to Toul, France Wednesday to a football game between the 7th & 35th Divisions - we got beat 6 to 2 - was a good game - I still love to see a football game - no news to speak of - just the same thing every day - all of us
