Boncourt, France [February 19, 1919] Dear Folks:- Received your letter of [January] 26th a few days ago - sure glad to hear from you - we have never moved yet - on the 17th we were reviewed and inspected by Gen. Pershing and the Prince of Wales - Pershing inspected each company - he and the Prince both made talks to the officers of the Division - tomorrow we have a division field day - weather remains cloudy and cool - am glad to hear of Anne's condition being better - am sorry to hear that cousin Bruce is still [MS illegible: 1 wd] - hope he is bette rby this time - tell Honey I can hardly wait to get home - yes gues sshe is quite a girl by now - too big for me to baby I guess -yes it has been a year this month since I was at home - a long time but it has certainly passed quickly - soon be a year over here and 2 yrs in the army - hope to be back

in the States before the 2 yrs. is up - am sorry to hear of the shooting - I know both of them -Love is one of my old political workers, sur eis a rustler on getting votes - eggs over here are scarce - sure will be glad to eat all I can when I get back - am glad to hear of the good work the children are doing in school - the boys in "G" seem to be OK - saw Farris the other day - he is alright - no news to speak of - hope all of you are well - I am feeling fine - will write again soon, Goodbye, Lots of love to all Your loving son, Kirk,
