Kansas City [Missouri] April 2nd My Dear Mrs Barkley:- I received your kind letter and have written Mr Haun in hope he may give me some information. I think my boy was in that same big battle your son was in. I know you are proud of your boy. he certainly was brave and was very fotunatily to live through it. I think every boy that went over and went through those tirrible battles should receive the greatest honers that can be bestode upon
