Page # 2 Co. "G" Reunion [September 8, 1939] We had letters or messages from the following not able to come: Richard Hall, 1934 East "B" Street, Torrington, Wyoming. William Lloyd Woodard, 642 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana. Claude Carey, Holden, [Missouri] William H. Hilt, R.F.D. #4, Windsor, [Missouri] E. W. Ramsey, Clay Center, Kansas Harold T. Morgan, Shelbina, [Missouri] S. E. Diggs, East Moline, Illinois. P.O. Box #74. Ernst A. Barchers, 1117 N. Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. L. E. Lamb, % First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, Texas. L. J. Eller, P.O. Box #46, % Safeway Stores, Inc., Blackwell, [Oklahoma]. Dr. Ray Caldwell, Shelbina, [Missouri] Lauren K. Price, Gilman City, [Missouri] Jake Grass, Dover, [Missouri] I think everyone of those present will agree that it was the most pleasant meeting that any of us have had since the war and everyone present expressed the hope that another one would be held at least within the two year period. Our old friend Sergeant Hacker, who has been so many miles away from his old gang for so long, I know had the thrill of his life. He was through Missouri about a month ago and stopped off for a visit. He was looking fine and still talking about the reunion. If each one of you will now, without delay, send in the name and address of any member not on the list in this letter, I'll build up a good mailing list and I think we should plan for another reunion, at which we should easily have one hundred members, sometime in 1940. The picture which is enclosed will be very good if enlarged. I am sorry that I could not enlarge one for you but I am confident that you will be glad to make the enlargement in order to see what your old buddies look like twenty years later. I am also enclosing with this letter a copy of an order for guard detail which was brought to the reunion by Sergeant Hacker, and which will bring back many memories to you. Let me have the names and any suggestions about our next reunion, and with the very best of everything to all, I am Sincerely your old comrade, [signature] Lewis M. Means, Formerly 2nd Lieut. "G" Company 365th Infantry LMM/m 2 encls
