Camp Funston [Kansas] [February] 15 1918 Back at my same old workage. When I came in here last night at 10 oclock I found a hell of a bunch of strangers all around some I knew and some I did not know. Russel is still here and a few of the Co all of them are in France they say. There is still a bunch of snippers working here I think they will still keep me in the same old thing. I never saw a bunch of boys so glad to see any one as they these boys was to see me back eaven the Captain and all of the serganst. The first sergent told me I could lay off today but keep shy of any officers. Say I call that luck. They all cant see why I got a 21 day furlough and they cant get anything I tell them that I was just lucky and knew how to work things.
