Fort Riley Kansas [December] 11 1917 Mrs. and Mr. J.A. Ingram Family Dear folks, Well folks I am in a hell of a fix up in the Base Hospital at Fort Riley In the Isolation section, Quarnten for Menejitus and have got the Black Measels. I am looking to take the menigitus any day they sure watch this section close for if they get to the Menigitus in time they can cure fifty percent of the cases. They first put me down in the tents at the detachment camp and I broke out with the black measels and when I did they moved me up here to the Base. I am getting better treatment but it is right amongst the Menijitus patients so you see I am lible to take it any time. If I dont take it I have got to stay
