Camp Funston [Kansas] [February] 19, 1918. Dear Lela. Am Still at Funston and dont know when I will leave. You will want to know where I am going I dont know. When we go to some other camp they always tell us and when we are going across they wont tell us anything. My Captain gave me a written recomendation to take with me so when I got to my destonation I could start up the line and not be so long finding it out. I have already been given my sharpshooter bag and it is on record at the war department. I think I am going across and Qualify as an expert Marcksman then I will get better pay. How is Sister?
