Archer, George L., Papers
This collection contains World War I letters and souvenirs from army Private George Archer. Archer was stationed in Texas, England, France, and finally Germany. In his letters, Archer describes his voyage from America to England, the postwar atmosphere in Germany, soldier leisure activities, his anti-German American sentiment, and interactions with local Germans after the war. Also included in this collection are German propaganda leaflets distributed to American soldiers as a form of psychological warfare.
