Details
Title | Two Clasp Victory Medal |
Description | Bronze Victory Medal for military service during World War I. The medal was authorized in 1919 and recognized those who served between April 6, 1917 and November 11, 1918. On the front is a female figure holding a sword and shield. The words “The Great War For Civilization,” all the Allied countries, and a shield with the letters “US” are inscribed on the reverse. Clasps and stars could be worn on the ribbon based upon a veteran’s service. On this example, the clasps read “Meuse-Argonne,” and “Defensive Sector.” |
