Description	Oil lamps would have been used inside of tents or in trench shelters where the flame could not be seen by the enemy. Lamps help soldiers write and read letters, review orders, clean equipment, review maps, and in the worst situations, could be used a tiny heat source to warm up a soldiers hands.
