Title	Model 1917 Trench Shovel
Description	The U.S. Model 1910 Trench Shovel or “T” Shovel was used to hand dig fortification into the ground or hillsides to help protect soldiers from enemy attacks. Small and portable, the shovel was a standard piece of equipment for A.E.F. soldiers. It came with a canvas cover, that allowed the shovel to be hung from a soldier’s haversack.
