Title	John J. Pershing Guidon Flag
Description	Guidon flag of John J. Pershing, carried by his Jr. Aide, First Lieutenant William J. Cunningham in the Paris Peace Parade of July 14, 1919. Donated to the Audrain County Historical Society on October 19, 1967 by the Cunningham family. Flags such as these were carried ceremonially in front of large columns of troops during marches, the flags directed the movements of soldiers while simultaneously identifying the group carrying the guidon.
