| Description | Sailor Frank Clinton Mitchell’s service pillow sham. The sham is embroidered “In Service USA/ Camp Funston,” and includes the American flag and “Son in the Service” flag. The blue star on the white background of the service flag indicates the bearer had a son serving in the United States military. Many army recruits from Missouri were sent to Camp Funston for training, including the 89th Division. |
