Title | British Hand Grenade |
Description | British Hand Grenades, or “Mills Bombs” were hand thrown by British troops during WWI to stop or slow enemy advances or clear out a bunker or bunker full of equipment or troops in the trenches. Hand grenades proved to be effective weapons when put into the hands of properly trained soldiers. The term “Mills Bomb” refers to the original designer of the grenade, William Mills. The British produced over Seventy-Five Million “Mills Bombs” in the years between 1915 and 1918. |
