Description | Missouri National Guard Service Medal awarded to Private John Adolph Borchers for his service in the 128th Field Artillery during World War I. Borchers was wounded in a gas attack during the Battle of the Argonne Forrest on October 2, 1918. For his service, the state of Missouri awarded Borchers with the Missouri National Guard Service Medal. The Missouri State Seal is featured on the front with the inscription “War With Germany 1917-1919.” The reverse reads “The State of Missouri/For Service/United States Forces.” |
