Description | Featuring a Santa Fe cross with 3/4 red and 1/4 blue disc with a red border, this helmet was part of the uniform worn by soldiers in the 128th Field Artillery Regiment of the 35th Infantry Division of the Army National Guard. The unit had trained on the Santa Fe Trail, so the cross was chosen to commemorate the location of their training , and the 35th Infantry Division is referred to as the Santa Fe Division. |
