Adair County Veterans Memorial Plaza

Description

The Adair County Veterans Memorial Plaza consists of a large memorial wall and stone obelisk. The memorial was originally erected in 1932 with the names of those who served added in 1959 and 1976. The site also features a well preserved German Howitzer, captured during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive of 1918, one of the bloodiest battles in United States history.
