Missouri Over There

Whelpley, Dr. Henry Milton Collection

Dr. Henry Milton Whelpley was the dean of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and editor of the Meyer Brothers Druggist magazine during World War I.  Following America’s entry into the war in April 1917, many students at the college left school to fight in France.  This collection consists largely of correspondence and postcards from numerous students to Dr. Whelpley concerning their military service and their subscription to the Meyer Brothers Druggist, which often included articles highlighting Missouri soldiers overseas.
